Further to last post...

I attempted a compile, and it failed. Here is the workaround I used:

in os-interface.c, comment out line 1465 (something about I850, which I
don't have one of)

make SYSINCLUDE /usr/src/linux/include

The only  unresolved symbol was in a different module (pcmcia) and I
presume only came to light when the module was installed and the
dependancies calculated.
