 Linux runs on 386s and above only.

 Minux and some other systems have been developed to run on 286s and the like,
but I think running a webserver from them is expecting too much :-)

 Dunno to much about the *really* old machines. My oldest machine is a P75 
with
16Mb.

 BTW, If anyone comes across a source of cheap, old PCs, gimme a shout could 
you?
