Hmm...happens automatically on all samba boxes I've used. *think*...now, I do
know that browsing across subnets (ie, samba box on one network, win box on
t'other) won't work (Samba acknowledges this; there's docs about it) and its
all about how the SMB protocol works.

I don't know if you need to run nmbd (I wouldn't have thought so but I could
be wrong)...hold on *shuffle round smb.conf*...

       announce as (G)
This specifies what type of server nmbd will
announce itself as, to a network neighborhood
browse list. By default this is set to Windows NT.
The valid options are : "NT", which is a synonym
for "NT Server", "NT Server", "NT Workstation",

Sooo...I'd say that:
	1. If nmbd us running and
	2. The windows machine is on the same subnet as the samba box
then it should be displayed in Network Neighbourhood.

See:
	http://ie.samba.org/samba/ftp/docs/textdocs/BROWSING.txt
for more details. BROWSING.txt should also be with the samba package (be it
binary or source IIRC...I know Redhat plonks the docs that come with the
bundled samba under /usr/doc/samba-X.Y.Z [where X.Y.Z is version]...can't say
for other dists).
