It probably worth noting, that depending on you version of LILO, you
may need a small (mines 17mb), /boot partition at the start of the first
drive for the kernel, as old versions of lilo (I've heard there are no
problems with the latest, but havent tried), have issues with booting a
kernel after the 1024'th cylinder
