[Sheflug] Network Unreachable after outbound portscan.

 Hi all.

Just been messing with nmap again, portscanning my firewall box and the
new OpenBSD machines I set up over the weekend.

Recently I've been having trouble with the network straight after
running a scan against my machines...
I'm not sure if it's a kernel problem (doubt it very much) or nmap
(still not sure, because I've used this version (v2.53) for a while...)
Anyway, whatever the cause is, I'm getting ping responses of
destination unreachable for all addresses except 127.0.0.1 and
192.168.0.1 (the machine I'm scanning from).

There is nothing that I have that would respond to the portscans and
block all out going traffic, and ifconfig eth0 still shows the interface
as being up.

Bringing eth0 (and lo) down then back up make no difference. Going to
init 1 and back to 5 makes no difference. So far the only solution I've
found is a reboot - not what I expect from a Linux box.
The routing table is normal, and nothing is appearing in
/var/log/messages.

Does anyone have any ideas, tests etc?

 Baz.
