That's appaling! Nay embarrasing...

Perhaps theer are lighter alternatives that are functinaly good which
allow a shallower learning curve from MSoffice than going straight to
Vi? Perhaps KOffice?

And if the vest we can do is Vet software and bloated spreadsheet
packages then I'm less than suprised that Linux has made few inroads
inot health. I could see benefits for server apps such as apache - but
no real life web apps using postgresql and php? With the impemding move
to electronic patient records there should be an excellent opportunity
to create linux alternatives.
