That's a VIle lie.  What actually happened was the Emacs users were
multitasked and ended up more interested in the REAL work they were
doing, and ignoring the Paintball.

(In both Emacs, and vi AFAIK, REAL men define a keyboard macro, load
it with a high repeat count, and don't use ANY fingers anyway. :)
