I think that's the problem. If it could be cut down into bite-size
portions, as it was originally, rather than forcing the whole banquet down
in one go it would make more headway.
Personally I'd rather see koffice and the Gnome office components
(Gnumeric & Abiword) receiving developer effort. Once these lightweight
(relatively speaking) apps get proper M$ filters they will be very useful.
If only Ability Software would port Ability Office to Linux.... (tried it
under Wine, nice system killer chaps!)
