Hear, hear.
Use the tool that best fits the job and is right for you the user. Don't use
SO under Linux for the sake of using SO under Linux...if MS Office on Win95
does the job, then why change?
For the record though, I've had problems with SO under Windows; it (SO, *not*
windows) crashes when trying to load documents in. Never spent any time
trying to nail the problem out though...though I may look into this at a
later point.

Yep; my machine is a P200 ... and SO 5.1 takes a while to start up. It's not
too bad whilst running but it thrashes the disk away. I preferred the SO 4
approach which had the word processer, the spreadsheet &c as seperate
programs and not one huge great monolithic program.
A 400MHz box is not slow ... it's about the average speed of a PC these days,
I believe.
