[Sheflug] Linux Demo Days

Dear All

We were lucky in that Sheffield Computer Systems who are at Taplin
Road at Hillsborough delivered two PCs into our demo days session at
Blackwell's this afternoon.  They are very helpful.  The PCs that we
have can be bought from their shop for £325.  That's a 500MHz PC with
64Mb of RAM and speakers included with mouse and keyboard.  Works fine
with Red Hat 6.2 and SuSE 7.0. I installed it myself.

It looks like we might be able to have a games session on Saturday
afternoon.  If you do have any games CDs for Linux please do bring
them over.  If you have a computer with problems or bugs bring those
along as well.

If you know of anyone who might have an interest in Linux or who still
hasn't deleted their own MS Windows system out of the way yet then
please do send them over to Blackwell's.  Tomorrow and Saturday SuSE
Ltd will be here to help out with any questions that can't be

Any questions then please do come round to Blackwell's rather than
send them to this list.  Meetings like this are for general
conversation and save on bandwidth.
