The first attempted file was a pak0.pak off a quake 2 original cd,
not dodgy, and it did it, I never thought of using KDE and assumed it
was a fault on the CD, so I borrowed a friends CD of quake2 and did
that with KDE first, then went back to see if it would work with cp,
and it bailed out around the same place, the filesize could have been
exactly the same as that from the first failure.
The next thing to try was the Heavy Gear II demo file off a LXF
issue, i got the cd that day, so I think the problem is more likely
to be my CD drive. I hope not.
