I'm not entirely sure exactly what Netscape does, but I've finally set
the system up so that the mailserver and not the MUA does the work.
It's possible to have per user environment variables that Qmail reads to
achieve similar behaviour to the Sendmail -f flag.
The thing that gets me is that is possible to have a poorly/mis-
configured mailserver and it will still deliver mail. Most of the
time.
I'm a fan of systems that stay utterly broken until you actually sort
it to spec - gives me an incentive to actually learn the system a
little better :-)

Can't get much more of a recommendation than that.
I'm pretty impressed by the fact that Qmail 1.03 is now something like
2 years old, and still perfectly servicable.
