Hey all...

I thought I'd let you know what I've been doing this morning - AnyTime,
avec Le Freeswerve. Blimey my PoP number's long! 17 digits! "Eeee, by
gum!".

Anyhow, it's on and it works lovely. Only thing is, you need access to
IE to sign up. I tried getting round this every way I know - including,
saving pages to disk, pointing the <form.. action=" at the correct
server, and putting in 'return true;' in various isIE(); jscript
functions. While this allowed me to get much further through the
process, it didn't like the credit card section, so eventually I gave up
& used IE. :( I still think it's doable -  I suspect I lost some form
data on the way & saved the wrong page to disk - but anyhow. I've also
upgraded to standard membership on UKLinux as a penance :))

Seems to work fine, no problems dialing up / accessing so far. pppconfig
sets everything up, as usual, and I think I now have my machine in a
working state once again. Woo-hoo! Flat rate access! It's 12.99 btw, (no
pound symbol 'cos Evolution stops when you type a shift-3 - hmmm ;)
which ain't too bad. If I could guarantee I was going to stay in this
flat for a year I might have gotton adsl, but I don't have the need at
the minute. And HomeChoice kinda sucks apparently, so FRIACO it was :)

I'll let people know about the service levels if anyone's interested.
