[Sheflug] SuSE linux crash - help!
Hi all
Yesterday it happened. My wild mixture of SuSE 6.3, and 7.0 did not
tolerate my attempts to add 6.4 to it and - bang!:-) Basically, it became
unusable due to disagreement in libc versions, then some programs like
grep, touch, etc went missing... Then, I tried Update from yast after
booting from a floppy - it failed due to missing
/var/lib/rpm/... files. Now I attached that disk to another SuSE7.0
machine as slave and am doing
rpm --root /mnt --rebuilddb
..
Is it the right thing to do? Or what shall I really do?
Thanks
Guennadi:-(
