VNC :)

VNC is a very nice program that allows you to view a remote Windows or X
desktop. Everything runs on the server, unlike say an Exceed session, so you
can shut the viewer down head to another machine and reopen it as you left
it. This isn't possible with Exceed and other "proper" PC/Win32 X servers as
you shut your X session down, and that kills all the clients connected to the
server.

VNC works by running the X session on the machine you have, and you have a
small viwer (it's about 150k if memory serves on win32) that you use to
connect to VNC on the server. You now have your X session :) VNC is also
rather portable with servers for win32 and mac and viewers for Java, Win32,
Mac, Palm, linux, Unix, you name it.

And it's free and has source code available.

You can also run the viewer through an SSH tunnel to encrypt the entire
session if you want :)

See: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ for more info....it's very nice :)
