well maybe slight exaggeration...but I couldn't think of anything better at 
the time. I re-read it after it got posted and thought "no - someone's gonna 
rip that phrase to shreds". It didn't happen though :)

i'm not going to try and reword it [yet]...you might be able to work out my 
general way of thinking from the rest of the blurb within that post...I 
/think/ it was more a case of "someone like that would probably not be a 
spanner wielding engineer, but work elsewhere in IT" (or words to that 
effect).

Now if there's any spanner wielding engineer's here I've offended, please let 
me get my flame-retardant jacket on first :)
