I use multidrop with Freeserve so mail delivered to
user@lostgeneration.freeserve.co.uk gets delivered to user [at] localhost
I call fetchmail from /etc/ppp/ip-up so mail gets collected every time
the ip-masq gateway connects the LAN to the internet... seems to work OK
in /etc/sendmail.conf make sure you tell sendmail to masqerade as
icqme.freeserve.co.uk as fetchmail uses sendmail as MDA by default & you
don't want a mail loop
DMicqme.freeserve.co.uk
#/etc/ppp/fetchmailrc (multidrop)
poll pop.freeserve.net with proto pop3 with envelope Envelope-To
localdomains icqme.freeserve.co.uk
user icqme.freeserve.co.uk with password <snip> is * here
options fetchall
you probably want to put your anti-spam stuff after this
hope this is useful & not wildly inaccurate
