Firstly, you need to check with your cable modem supplier (you have an intended, I presume?) that you're getting a real, static IP - chances are, you won't be. Even with ADSL, this usually isn't the case, unless you're with Demon.
Also, as you said, you will need someone to primary your domain for you. Demon won't (IIRC, they will only secondary), UK2 will for 1UKP-something a month, I think. You also have the option of Free DNS (or whatever they're called these days), who will act as primary for you, but I have no idea what the service is like (it's a community thing).
Also - what do you mean by 'hoster accepting domain as secondary MX entry'? Do you mean you want to do something like:
@ IN MX 100 mycomputer.myhouse.
@ IN MX 110 mail.myisp.
? (paraphrasing config file :)
I don't know of anyone who will do that for you, I would imagine it's actually quite hard to setup. The better options are to either (a) maildrop off the ISP mail server [preferred] or (b) have one MX record and make people spool when you're offline [not preferred :)]
