Re: [Sheflug] strange problem with CDROM...
But you enabled SCSI-emulation for CD-ROM on purpose, didn't you? I
thought about it and tried - no success 'device not configures'. Can you
do, e.g.
dd if=/dev/scd0 of=/dev/null bs=1024 count=8
? And yours gets detected at boot-time as scd0, right? Is your
SCSI-emulation compiled into the kernel or as a module? We enabled
SCSI-emulation for a tape-drive, which is on ide1, and hd is hda and cdrom
hdb... If everything else fails, maybe I'll try forcing SCSI-emulation on
it too... But on the same ide0 hd is working in ATA-mode no prob. (but its
driver is compiled into the kernel...)
