[Sheflug] Odd error on modem connection.
I'm playing around setting up a new firewall box, this time running
netfilter, which seems to be working OK.
I do have a problem with the modem when I attempt to connect to an
ISP, when I get this error, just as the connection is established:
Mar 24 18:44:10 harmonics pppd[21266]: Serial connection established.
Mar 24 18:44:10 harmonics pppd[21266]: ioctl(PPPIOCGFLAGS): Invalid argument
Mar 24 18:44:10 harmonics pppd[21266]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
Can anyone tell me what the ioctl(PPPIOCGFLAGS): Invalid argument
error is likely to be caused by?
I'm running kernel 2.4.2 and pppd version 2.3.11. I've copied the
chat-ppp0 and ifcfg-ppp0 scripts from my existing firewall box.
Cheers.
Baz.
