Because you can use text/plain; format=flowed (RFC 2646) to solve the
problem of wall-eyed people who can actually read 132 cols.  (I can
handle about 4x60 at a glance, so I actually like it when people use
up about 16 columns with citation indent, and wrap at 76 ;-)

Huh?  Which Emacs are you using?  Dunno about vi, but that just don't
sound right, either.
