MMmm. How does SuSE compare with RH for RPM/filesystem design?

I know there are basic filesystem standards out there that Debian and
RH (and a bunch of others) adhere at least roughly two, but not
actually have read them, I've no idea how closely it specifies things.

Not really used Debian recently (although will be having a stab at it
again soon) I've not been paying attention to the debs situation.
I can't see Debian support just being phased out like you're
suggesting is happening with Ximian with every company.
Admittedly RH does seem to have a disproportionate share of users,
especially in the US, but Debian has a good following, does it not?

I've just talked about two things I've really not put any time into
recently, if at all, so I'll shut up now :-)

Baz.
