Debian is cracking stuff but the installation is like sawing your own
head in two :) Fine if you have a degree in computing science but
not much good otherwise.
Whenever I've been faced with this problem I've had a good long look
at the cheap CDs page at Linux Emporium...
http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk
you can get a set of Debian CDs for about £10. Another distribution
that might be good if you are considering Debian is Linux by Libranet
or Storm Linux. Both of them are easy to install. See the front
page for more info. The Libranet stuff is extremely good.
If I were to follow my own advice I'd say why not try out SuSE 7.1 ?
We can install it for you at the next meeting. However, I'm sure
that you want to try something else :)
You can also get cheap Red Hat 7.0 CDs from LE. About £5 per set I
think ?
Thanks
