RE: [Sheflug] System re-install :)

I too have been reinstalling my system.

If I could figure out how to install Woody, I'd probably go for Woody
over RH7.1.

The cockles of my heart is warming to Debian - especially apt - I just
need to get a couple of clean installs under my belt.

Having lost all my dot-files/config info on the way wasn't too clever
tho - didn't realise that 'scp ~/* user [at] anothermachine:~/' doesn't
bother with hidden files and directories.

Thank goodness for the backups I do have - got my GPG keys back! :-)

The fresh system also gave me a chance to install XEmacs 21.4.x -
release managed by our very own Mr. Turnbull!

It also means I'm gonna have to play with my mail config until I find
a satisfactory way of loosing the X-Bad-Return-Path headers that are
finding their way into my emails again :-(

Just thought I'd go on a bit. 2p.

Baz.
