Mmmm.... envy. Processor wise, anyhow.

If you can get hold of Mandrake, it is much the same as Red Hat, but optimised
for higher end machines, and has very nice hardware stuff. Version 8 has just
been released, which promises to be a doozy. (Thats good, BTW)

See above. Also, SuSE 7.1 is nice. I know it doesn't sound much help, just
saying 'use another distro', but it has to be said that with regards to Red
Hat, whats best isn't always whats most popular (puts on flame retardent suit)
as per Microsoft (lessens flame retardivity)
