[Sheflug] Slackware X Setup

Hey,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm running Slackware 7.1 and have recently changed my motherboard, processor and hard drive. Ever since then when I install it and type XF86Setup (I select that I don't want to use the current config) the screen goes funny. I'm wondering if there are any arguments I can pass to it to tell it to run in a certain graphics mode so that it doesn't screw up. I've also tried using xf86config but that doesn't seem to work. Please help.

Also, can anyone answer this. When Linux is installed and you "make xconfig" is it set to your current options or do you have to set everything up all over again? If I just wanted to add one module would I just select it and then save and the go through the whole kernel installation thing. If it does use your current config then does that mean that if I upgraded to 2.4.3 it would use my current config as a base or would I have to set up everything?

Thanks a lot,

Darrell
