Thanks for your reply.

Your saying that PSpell is on the latest RedHat builds, set me investigating 
and I have found it on the latest SuSE. I hadn't realised it was on the CDs.

I have now installed it and will print out the manual and see if I can make 
enough sense of it to get PSpell working with Abiword.

My spelling is a bit dodgy at times, and I do like to check that wot I have 
rote is proppaly spellt.

Many thanks for putting me on the right track to start with.
