KWord has it's own format as well as importing MS Word (certain versions,
read www.wvware.org for more).
KSpread loads Excel, and saves CSV (interoperable format).
Killustrator is pretty good too.

There's a good point and drool web program? None I ever used. HTML isn't
the be all and end all of web publishing. To do it right you need more
complicated things like CGI scripts, inline scripting (PHP style),
stylesheets and XML. And I certainly never saw a GUI package that knew
XSLT. XEmacs and vim do though...
