Re: [Sheflug] Moving telnet port around?

Edit the file /etc/services, and change the line for telnet so that the port
number is whatever you want it to be. Inetd reads this file to decide which
port to listen on for each service, and only uses the service names in the
inetd.conf file.

Subject: [Sheflug] Moving telnet port around?

Hi,
Just a quick question that I don't have time to investigate...
How can I tell inetd to have telnet on some other port !=23? I want to
have it on one of the higher ports (>9000). This is in RH 6.2 (or was
7.0?)

Cheers,
José
