Most mobos are designed to take 256*3Mb of memory, i.e. three 256Mb DIMMs.
Apparently there are sometimes problems with 512Mb DIMMs. I have seen Aria
(www.aria.co.uk) offering 256Mb for 40 quidish. I would recommend getting
ECC RAM if possible though.
