[Sheflug] Epson Stylus 580

Hi,
	I have found a nice offer for an Epson Stylus 580 printer
(colour inkjet, very cheap, USB and all that). The problem is that I see
a lot of postings saying that the printer is slow in Linux (a page every
15 minutes), and that you need to download a driver (and pay for it). I
am not too convinced of the quality either, but the price is very
tempting.

	Mainly, what I want is to use it to print text (LaTeX stuff),
with the odd dash of colour (not too much, though). I am concerned about
ink cartridges, and want the maintenance to be cheap. Of course, nice
behaviour under Linux would be quite a nice asset :-)))

	Any comments on this particular model, or any suggestions for
other budget printers?
