[Sheflug] Procmail
With all this talk of mail filtering, and problems reaching the site
that hosts procbox, the software I normally use to filter my mail (I
use getmail to get mail, rather than fetchmail), I figured it was time
to look at Procmail again.
Getmail does not use the local MTA queue to deliver locally, but
instead dumps the messages directly into a specified file.
Is it possible to use procmail on a random file and dump the contents
into other files (crash files I can then use from VM), or does it have
to be /var/spool/mail/$USER?
Procmail looks like a wee bit of a nightmare...
Could someone give some examples and/or a list of good docs for
procmail?
Man procmail is a little much to the point...is it all regexps?
Cheers,
