It was me, it is, and I have :-)
I don't mind having logs full of the stuff, It means I know that it's
happening, (although I must admit syslog printing "last message repeated
X times" like it does for other things, would be better... (except it
can't because parts of the information logged, are different, but hell,
I can dream..) :) ).

It is handy to watch my connection scream at me though.
even 70 pings, in a few seconds, hurts on a modem..

(and nothing gets your attention like a log scrolling upward on your
desktop very quickly) :)
