Basically any equipment that does not support ECN is a horribly broken TCP/IP
implementation and you should ask your hardware vendor/ISP to fix it. ECN is
designed so that it should work with old kit, but some equipment decides to
zero every header field it doesn't understand. Which is so stupid it makes me
want to take a lie down just thinking about it. :)
Mind you, getting in touch with an actual "engineer" at an ISP these days is
nigh on impossible anyway.
