[Sheflug] Perl 5.6 backport to Potato?

Hi everyone.

Been a little quiet on list recently!

I was in the process of building a webmail system in PHP (personal
use, as a learning excerise - I know there are already plenty systems
out there...) however the server my site is on doesn't support
IMAP/POP functions in PHP.

Perl is the favoured language by the admins, so I was gonna be
learning Perl eventually anyhow...

So, the question is:

I'm running Debian Potato on my laptop, which only has Perl 5.0xx - is
there any backported Perl 5.6 deb's around from Woody I can install?

What is there I should know about doing this?
