I second that, IMHO menuconfig is much quicker than xconfig, and
certainly easier than plain "config" - I always seem to end up
polishing the resulting .config off with XEmacs if I use config :-(

Is there a reason why the options selected after a make mrproper are
weird some times? I sometimes notice wierd sound cards and/or SCSI
controllers etc selected after a mrproper - why?

Is copying a .config in to the kernel tree and using make oldconfig a
reliable way of building kernels? I tend to run make menuconfig each
time, and it's just a bit tiresome when the hardware hasn't changed
:-)

Cheers.

Baz.
