Naaaaah, libc6 crashing every other week sorts the strong from
the weak :-))) Having said that, unstable (I had to update most of the
stuff to unstable to install openDX when it came out, among other
things) has been quite "stable".

I am quite impressed with KDE myself. Most of the time, it's
fast and easy to use in a work environment. I also like the slide bar
that lets you choose the level of annoying animations you can tolerate.

The latest KMail was also quite good. However (and here goes my
question), has anyone tried its IMAP support? For a desktop, single-user
box for a windows "refugee" with rather convoluted e-mail addresses
(pick'n'mix, really), I thought that going through all the hassle of
configuring an MTA just isn't worth it, so I'd like to know if anyone
has any 1st hand experience on the "Joys of Kmail with IMAP".

Thanks, and yes agreed on KDE :-)
