RE: [Sheflug] total irrelevence - PO Boxes?

Ummm, nope, not for your purposes of NOT being tracked. The thing is
that as pple have said, you just pop along to your local office and hand
over a card with your po box number on it and they give you any mail
contained therein. However, if anyone phones the Office and asks for
the owner's real address they have a policy of simply giving it to them.
It's made clear in this link
http://www.royalmail.com/dda/postal_services/po_boxes.htm , but the
specific bit you're interested in is:

"Disclosure of information

Royal Mail reserves the right in all cases to disclose the address of
the PO Boxholder if anyone requests it.
We'll add the boxholder's address (but not his or her name) to Royal
Mail's national address database, the Postcode Address File (PAF). We
use information on PAF to produce some address management products that
are available to the public. It's also reproduced in Postal Address
Books, which we send free to all the organisations listed on PAF."

Just thought you'd like to know before you bought into it thinking that
it would give you some sort of real anonymity.

Any more info regarding this just get in touch with me personally if you
want, as I run one.

Regards

Neil
