Yes please, Chris - I only usually read digests of the list.

I _am_running_ 2.4.15, although I've noticed no boot-time/shutdown-time
fubars yet. Running Debian, so I don't have a /var/lock/subsys for
example, but I'm running ext3 now (that was the reason for the upgrade)
so maybe the problem will have gone away, or at least be somewhat
mitigated. 

The train from stability appears to be running late, still :(.
