[Sheflug] Modem Problem
I am facing problem in configuring my Modem with SuSe Linux 7.3 (kerner 2.4.10).
Here is the out put of lspci -vv and dmesg (boot time messages)
Out Put of lspci -vv
01:01.0 Modem: PCTel Inc HSP MicroModem 56 (rev 02) (prog-if 01 [Hayes/16450])
Subsystem: PCTel Inc: Unknown device 0001
Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 11
I/O ports at ac00 [size=64]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2
Out put of Dmesg
Serial driver version 5.05c (2001-07-08) with HUB-6 MANY_PORTS MULTIPORT SHARE_IRQ SERIAL_PCI enabled
ttyS00 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
Redundant entry in serial pci_table. Please send the output of
lspci -vv, this message (4941,30871,4941,1)
and the manufacturer and name of serial board or modem board
to serial-pci-info [at] lists.sourceforge.net.
Can some one help me to find out which type of problem this is among the following
1) Linux could not detect Hardware
2) Linux could not set at correct serial port
3) Driver for the Modem is missing
Please let me know if further details will be required to diaglose it further.
Regards
