RE: [Sheflug] Nvidia woes ie don't have a clue how to get itworking porperly

i am will ing to use what ever distro works ie i need a fresh install as i have proper wreck all files user namber and groups names on most of the file will be willing to pay a tenner for an copy of an distro that work i.e suse redhat of mandrake but one that work cause i cannot exactly hook my machine up to the net and undate drivers and uni won't lend me disk space to download an iso or two to be burnt on to cd grrr...... p.s i don't have that much time to hack the system up to my own prefrances like i would need to with debian even though i would like it i really don't have the internet access needed to update and improve the distro.

i am sorry if this sound lame but i would like an linux distro that i can quickly set up and prove to my mate that it is better in many repects to windoze and useing the the command line is better and more flexible than icons....
so therefore i need a distro that i won't need to update till the summer.

No problem! What distro are you using? Bring along the disks for your
distro just in case, and I'll grab the NVidia src.rpms and bring them
along.

I have recently had some painful experience with NVidia drivers, so I'll
take a peek.
