thanks a lot for the info. I'll certainly look into IPCOP.
Richard, the links that you pointed me to were very interesting.
I asked a question of the smoothwall user list initially about how
smoothwall worked as I did not fully understand it from the documentation.
I got 7 very helpful replies from other list users that cleared things
up for me and one very unhelpful/glib reply from richard morrel about
how I should by the product.
I replied and explained that since we are a small business I like to
evaluate a system before recommending to my boss buying it but I got no
reply to this.
I subsequently sent a post to the list asking about a good NIC to use
and this was refused by the list moderator without any reason (this is
why I asked here), I mailed the list moderator asking why the post was
refuse but got no reply
Maybe I'm just being a bit paranoid....
