This happened to me a few times, and the problem was primarily with the
display driver. I can't tell you exactly what fixed it, unfortunately :(

How old are the low spec games? If they use the DOS4GW extensions, they
won't work, or at least they would when I last tried ~6 months ago.

I managed to get 4D Sports - Driving working flawlessly though, which
must be a good thing :)

On this note, has anyone had much look with Wine? I got HardWar running
fine, with no noticable glitches and a respectable frame rate, but that
is all from more recent games.
