[Sheflug] Euro support
Hi all,
I want to have my computer at work use the Euro (I get paid in
that currency after all... I am running Debian Woody(testing), plus some
sid remains from about a month ago.
I have followed the instructions (installed the needed packages
that sort out all the deps), and have so far been more or less succesful
at the console (I still need one reboot to check it, but I can wait for
that :-D)
However, KDE and X in general seem to be highly europhobic. The
default font encoding is ISO-8859-15. I have an alias for en_GB [at] euro at
the places mentioned in the debian-euro-support document, but most of
the X apps come up with a warning from Xlib saying that the locale is not
supported. The documentation is in quite a dreadful state (i.e., it
doesn't look finished at all to me), so I was wondering whether someone
could shed any light on this.
