[Sheflug] CONFIG_USB_UHCI is grayed out

Hello all, I want ot install a Sony cd writer on linux 2.4.17. when I make xconfig, the option:

Support for USB ----Yes
UHCI(intel PIIX4, VIA, ...) support ---(gray out, why is it grayed out??)
UHCI(Compaq, iMacs, OPTi, SiS, ALi,...) support ----Yes

So I can not choose the CONFIG_UHCI_USB = y;
 
Do you think I need a patch? if yes, where the patch is?
