I want to thank everyone for their information. I did intend to run samba 
seperately. There is no need for samba to be accessible from outside the 
network. Would I have to set the samba network on a different netmask or just 
a different IP set thing (I know it's wrong terminology). Could I just set up 
my main network on 192.168.0.0 and set the samba network on 192.168.1.0. 
Would this still be accessible to the outside? It's gonna be a few days 
before I attempt to set up the network but expect a few posts if I can't get 
everything sorted =o)

I think I would rather be paranoid and secure =o) I'm gonna have a look at 
those books richard mentioned.
