Define "their spam" - they don't send anything out themselves that I've seen. The problem is that they aren't reacting quickly enough to shutdown proxies that various users have set up on their own account and haven't secured, thus leaving the internet populace to be able to post news through the BY servers via these proxies.

BY have started, and are continuing, to scan customers machines looking for machines with an open port 119. If found they're tested and if needbe contacted by abuse (if anyone on BY gets hit from scanner.abuse.blueyonder.co.uk, thats the scanner - it checks a few ports besides 119 - 1080 and 6588 according to my firewall logs).

This should be a kick up the arse for them to sort abuse cases quicker (as they've tended to be a little slow at times).
