[Sheflug] Boot Problem: LILO or BIOS?

I had problems with LILO recently and found these pages helpful.

I was using two disks to boot and had the same LIL error. I solved it by 
adding

  disk = /dev/hda      #  Hda disk ...
     bios = 0x80        #  ... is the first one at boot time
   disk = /dev/hdg
     bios = 0x81

This tells LILO that the boot order is hda for first disk and is described 
bios=0x80

the second disk is described
bios=0x81

If there was a third disk the third disk would be
bios=0x82
