What's wrong with using vixie cron itself ? Anyhow ...

dcron == Dillon's Cron? If not, try dillon's cron :) 

On freshmeat there's anacron, hc-cron ["A modified version of Paul Vixie's
widely used cron daemon"], madcron ... and probably others.

A search of Debian's packages seems to indicate it uses anacron.
