He won't; he isn't.

Rather than arguing, find out how -xdev works, and how Unix filehandles
are generated.

That's right; it is. And it can tell the difference between the various
filesystems. 

If you don't believe me that this is a problem, go read the devfs FAQ
rather than argue with me.
